Brokerage Participation in Broadcast classes are live classroom courses where the instructor is at a remote location and the students are in a classroom at their local association. They provide students in remote areas the opportunity to get the same high-quality education as if they were in one of the larger cities.
To see a full list of courses taught, please visit our list of courses.
Brokerage Participation in Broadcast classes are available for individual brokerages when:
- the local association of REALTORS® has not chosen to host the educational offering; or
- the brokerage would like to schedule a separate time and day for live classroom courses via the broadcast system.
How does it work?
It’s pretty simple. Students register and attend at their brokerage, just as if it were a normal class. In class, they are able to dialogue with the instructor and with students in other participating classes around Texas that might be participating in the class.
Benefits to students
Students do not have to incur the cost of travel and hotel to attend a class they need because it is at their local association.
How do I attend?
Brokerages schedule brokerage broadcast classes with their chosen cooperating instructor. Brokerage Broadcast classes can be scheduled based on the need of the brokerage for one attendee or 50.
How does my brokerage get started?
Brokerages can get set up to offer broadcast classes when their local associations/board of REALTORS has decided not to offer the course. Within 30 days of the course, brokerages can contact the instructor to host the course in their brokerage.
To get started initially, you need to sign a co-sponsorship agreement and have an equipment test with the Texas Assocation of REALTORS®. TAR will work with you to schedule and complete a test of your equipment. Below is the component list:
- Computer with a hardwired internet connection;
- Camera that captures all participants at that location;
- Microphone;
- Speakers
Many times a laptop hooked up to an external monitor or projection device can suffice as long as the camera can be directed toward the students in the class and will be clear enough for the instructor to see the students in the class.
Instructors
If you are interested in hosting a Brokerage Broadcast class, please contact on of the below listed cooperating instructors:

Texas Real Estate Education and our instructors work hard to provide broadcast class environments where real state professionals can learn how to better perform in the real estate industry, better represent their clients, and learn material that actually benefits their business and clients. Nobody likes the feeling of “CE Jail” (you know those classes that feel like a waste of time just to get the credit). We recognize that continuing education is not one's favorite way to spend their time. However, we do our best to engage all of the students in each class to participate and hopefully learn something new thing in each class.
